HAIW, Circle of Life Keeps
Children Cozy

Kristen St. John, left, Community Activities chair for the
Hartford Association of Insurance Women, Inc. presents a box
full of hand-made scarves, mittens and gloves to Reggie
Barrall, right, of the Circle of Life-Arts for All dance
studio. The knitted items were then distributed by Circle of
Life to students at Silver Lane and Hockanum schools as well
as in the town’s housing projects in December. The Hartford
Association of Insurance Women provides professional
education, an environment in which to build business
alliances and the opportunity to make connections with
people of differing career paths and levels of experience
within the insurance industry.
Insurance Professionals of Eastern CT
Insurance Professionals of Eastern Connecticut (formerly
known as New London County of Insurance Professionals) were
recognized as Corporate Sponsors of the March of Dimes March
for Babies walkathon April 2009. IPEC joined thousands of
compassionate walkers on April 26, 2009 at Bluff Point Park
Groton raising $1,060. This money will be used to improve
the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature
birth and infant mortality.

Waterbury Association of Insurance
Professionals
Members of the Waterbury Association of Insurance Professionals, CT
joined forces with Habitat for Humanity on November 7, 2009.
Several members volunteered a Saturday to help install
cabinets, paint, etc a newly constructed home.
